Step 1

Before proceeding to replace the earpiece speaker of your Galaxy S8 you must, for evident safety reasons, turn off your device.

To do this, hold down the off button for a few seconds, then confirm by selecting "off".

Step 2

In order to remove the rear panel of your S8, you must heat the entire panel for 1-2 minutes using a hair dryer.

As the rear panel is particularly firmly glued, don't hesitate to heat the rear panel across the following steps the moment you feel resistance in order to not damage the rear panel.

Step 3

Once the rear panel is sufficiently heated, insert the nylon spudger into the small crack at the bottom right of the phone, then delicately slide it towards the top corner to unfix the right side of the panel.

Step 4

Continue to do the same thing across the top side of the phone.

Step 5

Finish by doing the same for the left side, then the bottom side of the phone.

Once the panel is detached, lift it a few centimetres delicately.

Do not remove the rear panel of the phone at this stage, the cable for the fingerprint scanner is still connected to the logic board!

Step 6

Using the nylon spudger, disconnect the cable for the fingerprint scanner.

Step 7

Next, lift the panel off completely, and remove it.

Step 8

Insert a iSesamo spudger into the top left corner, then the top right corner, and delicately lever it up to unclip the internal frame.

Unscrew the 11 screws that secure the midframe using a cross headed screwdriver. The screws are circled in red in the image.

Step 10

Then grasp and remove the internal frame.

Step 11

Using the nylon spudger, gently disconnect the battery cable.

Use the cross headed screwdriver to unscrew the 3 screws that secure the external speaker, circled in red in the image.

Step 13

Then use the nylon spudger to unclip the external speaker.

Take hold of the speaker then remove it.

The external speaker of your Galaxy S8 is now removed.

Step 15

Disconnect the volume buttons cable, then the front camera cable, using the nylon spudger.

Step 16

Then use the nylon spudger to disconnect the screen cable.

Step 17

Next disconnect the interconnect cables from the logic board by levering them up using the point of the nylon spudger.

Step 18

Insert the SIM/Micro SD card tray extraction tool into the hole to eject it.

Grasp the tray then proceed to remove it.

Step 19

Insert the nylon spudger into the top right part of the logic board, then delicately lever it up to extract the logic board.

Turn the logic board 90° as indicated in the photos for this step.

Step 20

Keep using the nylon spudger to disconnect the dock connector.

Remove the logic board.

Step 21

Using the nylon spudger, lever up the rear camera cable in order to disconnect it.

Step 22

Delicately push the rear camera out, and proceed to remove it.

The rear camera of your Galaxy S8 is now removed.

Using a hairdryer, heat the area where the earpiece speaker is located for 15-20 seconds.

Step 24

Using the tweezers grasp the earpiece speaker, and then remove it.

The earpiece speaker of your Galaxy S8 is now removed.

If you no longer hear sound when you make calls, replace your defective earpiece speaker with a new one.
